Based on traditional and the BASI Pilates block system and Ballet Barre Elements, this class is a creative and fun fusion of movements designed to build strong abdominal muscles, an aligned spine, and heightened body awareness. This practice is more than exercise; it's about meeting ourselves from the inside out. By expanding ourselves and allowing ourselves to take up space through thoughtful movement, we nourish both our body and mind. Pilates practices strengthen the muscle tissues within us, allow us to better navigate the world around us and create lasting positive neural connections in our minds. As we move, we slowly break apart bonds we had not realized were holding us back from fully and joyfully engaging in the world around us and within us.



Over 7 years ago, Pilates was what started it all for Marjorie back home in Chicago. Pilates allowed her to safely explore her own physiology and strengthen in an effective and sustainable way. As a Movement Practitioner, Marjorie's deeper purpose is to help others unlock their inner worlds through moving their bodies in space, and to create a stepping stone for life long functional movement. Now, with over 100 hours of teaching experience, and five certifications in Pilates, Barre, Yoga and Education, Marjorie is a confident Pilates Practitioner in her comprehensive knowledge of various movement methods, human anatomy and serving the unique needs of various populations. Her repertoire includes teaching a variety of Barre, Pilates and Fusion classes, leading workshops and guiding children through Yogic practices.
